Kayla.....

You know those people in life, those ones that make you better person and hold a piece of you heart... well this one is those for me. I officially got to know her at my first track practice, where we kinda gave each other glances and tried to figure out where we knew each other (probably HS track meets), and then kicked it off from there. And when you get to spend every day of an entire school year with someone, you get to know them. Kayla is one of those people who taught me what compassion and being a good person can do for you. I left HS with a "don't care, I'll do what I want" attitude, and even though she may not know she played a part in turning my heart a little softer, she definitely did. Thinking back that this started in 2004 seems like time is going way to fast... but we have seen each other grow in so many ways. I watched her pursue her education dreams, marry the man she's been involved with since I met her, and since had two amazingly beautiful children. Sometimes being a busy mom, and just playing life doesn't let you show your inner true beauty all the time, but I wanted to make light of yours Kayla. Thanks for being an amazing person! Even your family, being my cheering like I was their kid track family, has played such a soft spot on my heart. YOU ARE AMAZING... never forget that!!!!!
